About the hotel

NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky is located in the centre of Amsterdam, close to the house of Anne Frank, the Red Light District (de Wallen), the Van Gough Museum, and the Heineken Beer Brewery. There are excellent connections to the rest of the city, thanks to the bus and tram stops which can be found right outside the hotel. Also the central train station is only 5 minutes away and the Schiphol Aiport is only a 25 minute journey in a taxi or car.

The hotel has 468 rooms, which include one suite and six junior suites and 35 renovated apartments. The hotel has a parking attendant and also private and secure parking available at an additional charge.

The NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky has a Summer Garden and a monumental Winter Garden where you can enjoy an extensive buffet breakfast in the morning. In the a-la-carte restaurant Reflet, you can taste the varied selection of French style cuisine belle époque. However if you prefer oriental cooking, the Shibli Bedouin restaurant is an excellent choice. The hotel is also home to the Wynand Fockink Distillery, dating back to 1679, where you can taste and buy the best gins and liqueurs. The Lounge offers the best selection of homemade tea, liqueurs, and an exceptional view of the Dam. The Golden Palm Bar offers a large variety of the best cocktails.

Getting to the hotel

From the airport
From Schiphol Airport you can catch a train, rent a car, or take the hotel shuttle bus service, which takes you directly to the hotel from the airport, this runs from 6.43am until 20.43pm and runs every half an hour (there is an additional charge for this service, consult the hotel for information and availability).

By train From the main exit of Amsterdam Central Train Station, cross the square and the traffic lights continue towards the Dam Sqaure, and you will see the hotel on the left. This takes approximately 10 minutes. You can also catch the number 4, 9, 16, 20, 24 or 25 trams at the station and alight at the square Dam stop. The hotel is situated on the left.

By car
From The Hague/Schiphol (A4):
- Travel in the direction Amsterdam Zaanstad
- Continue on the A10 in the direction of the RAI
- Continue in the direction Amersfoort
- Exit at junction S112 and, at the end, turn left (towards the Centre)
- Turn left at the next roundabout
- After 10 traffic lights, turn left (towards the centre)
- Go over the bridge, and turn right
- At the end of the street, turn right (towards Rokin)
- At the Dam square turn right and continue until you arrive at the hotel.

From Zaanstad (A8) or Haarlem:
- At the Coenplein junction continue towards A10 Oost
- Exit at junction S116 towards Amsterdam Noord/Centrum
- Continue straight through the tunnel IJ
- Turn right after the bridge
- At the end of the street turn right (towards Rokin)
- In the Dam square turn right and continue until you arrive at the hotel

From Utrecht (A2):
- From the A2 continue in the direction of Centrum
- After the bridge turn right towards Amsteldijk
- At the end of the street turn left (Stadhouderskade)
- Take the second right (Vijzelgracht)
- At the roundabout continue straigth on until the Munt square
- Turn left (Rokin)
- At the Dam square turn right and continue until you arrive at the hotel

From Amersfoort/Almere (A1):
-At Watergraafsmeer continue in the direction of A10 Noord
- Go throught the Zeeburger tunnel and exit at junction S116 Amsterdam Noord
- Go through the IJ tunnel and continue straight on
- At the roundabout turn right
- Turn right after the bridge
- At the end of the street turn right (Rokin)
- At the Dam square turn right until you arrive at the hotel
